A choreographer who has achieved recognition for his composition and writing processes, Thomas Hauert is also a great teacher, sharing his knowledge throughout the year across the world and running the Bachelor of Contemporary Dance degree at Lausanne’s La Manufacture school.
This performing conference provides an insight into the various elements underlying his artistic and technical work with his company over the past twenty-five years. Using examples expressed in dance, shared musical scores and video projections, the choreographer traces the evolution of his work and reveals the specific nature of his approach solidly rooted in improvisation, physicality and collective processes.
