Pièce pour 9 danseur·euse·s

In 2019 Daniel Linehan created Body of Work, a solo in which he reflected on his own relationship with dance. He is now externalising this introspection to members not just of his own dance company Hiatus, but also to Dance On Ensemble and its performers aged 40 and over. The diverse nonet that has been put together explores the power of dance, bringing together individual stories into a common field of play through a physical link, all the way to the connection with everything in the universe that also dances, from the vibration of atomic particles to the slow growth of plants, from interactions between animals to the rhythm of the ocean. At the heart of what moves us, what stirs us, what brings us together – and that sometimes escapes words and even reason – the choreographer invites the dancers and audience alike on a journey through the body’s memory and the meanderings of time. To kiss the one we are.
