Lara Barsacq était artiste en résidence à Charleroi danse de 2020 à 2022. Elle sera accueillie en compagnonnage au Théâtre de Liège de 2024 à 2028.

As well as dancing with the Batsheva Dance Company in the mid-1990s, Lara Barsacq also spent fifteen years performing for various artists such as Jérôme Bel and Arkadi Zaides, by way of les ballets C de la B.
In 2016, she founded the not-for-profit organisation Gilbert & Stock with Gaël Santisteva, and in Lost in Ballets russes opened a personal and universal window on the history of western dance.
This time in a trio, she uses material based on the legendary figure of Ida Rubinstein, the sultry icon of the Belle Époque, Diaghilev’s muse and the person who commissioned Ravel to write Boléro. A century later, three women are celebrating her memory, singing her glory and questioning her story in more than just a portrait. It is a plural painting, both historical and topical, lavishly woven and filled with confidences.
