How can dance be a poetic act towards discovering the being, its sensitivity and its intelligence… In a quest for “sensory depth”, Benoît Lachambre links an artistic creation and a somatic path, along with kinaesthetic qualities of a “hyper-alertness of the senses” permeating the very texture of movement. In an extension to his solo Lifeguard, created in 2016, he is being joined by the performer and choreographer Sophie Corriveau and the outstanding sound artist Nancy Tobin. Together they have conceived an ambulatory performance within which five performers mark out vectors of movement on the floor and walls, using adhesive drawings, and involving the audience in mapping out presences. Fluctuations between spaces, links and encounters in which everyone can move about freely and experiment with various modes of presence and attention. Fluid Grounds is a vibratory space in which presence, action and what unites and survives us coexist
